Came across this little 5 minute video while surfing YouTube. So what the hell is Circuit Bending anyway. The official def is as follows: Circuit bending is the creative short-circuiting of electronic devices such as guitar effects, children’s toys and synthesizers to create new muscial instruments and sound generators. It’s a form of experimental electronic music. If you’ve ever heard any Classical Experimental Music you may have a grasp of what you’re in for below. Think “cat thrown inside a piano” now subsitute the piano for any battery powered electronic noise maker such as an old handheld video game or a transistor radio with the cover taken off and someone’s paws inside making the circuits going bonkers and producing interesting sounds. This may be an oversimplification of their craft but you get the idea right.
