When it comes to love and dating are we too fussy? Has

I just read this great article in the Washington Post on how we've become too fussy when it comes to choosing a mate. I was wondering what people's deal breakers were - what action or mannerism will make you call things off on say the third date? The Washington Post article lists some funnies; one guy made an inappropriate comment about a woman's shoes and another disliked his potential life partner's enthusiasm toward mayonnaise and Taquitos from 7-Eleven (well just look at them!!)

Intentional Success

Wayne Dyer 10 secrets

[inline:wayne-dyer-10-secrets.jpg]I've been listening to an audio book from Wayne Dyer entitled "10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace" and as a reminder to my sieve like memory I'm writing down the 10 jewels of info from Dr D in order that I shalt not forget.

The 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace Cards by Dr. Wayne Dyer is an inspirational 50-card deck based on the book of the same name. According to Dr. Dyer, the ten secrets for success and inner peace are:

1. Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing
2. Don't die with your music still in you

Relationships - what I want!

I just deleted my Match.com sucks article and decided to put energy into writing about what I want not what I don't want. Just got a some inspiration from watching a DVD that a friend lent me called "The Secret" that basically says we are our thoughts and that our thoughts will manifest into reality. Negative thoughts will manifest into the physical word as negative outcome and experience. Sounds somewhat New Age and wacky but I'm going to give it a try, what do I have to loose apart from my somewhat negative, glass half empty outlook I have on certain aspects of my life, especially relationships.

Body language - how to tell if someone likes you.

In the same vein of the book entitled "How to make someone like you in 90 seconds or less" check out this article by David Givens. According to this anthropologist who studies mating and dating there are 4 sure signs that someone is attracted to you when you first meet them.

Early Morning Rainbows

Here is a photo that I snapped from outside my front door one morning this week as I was getting ready to go ski.

Smart Car Crash at 70mph!

[inline:smarts01.jpg] Smart is the brand name of a little golf cart like car offered by DaimlerChrysler AG in Europe. On first setting eyes on this little toy you may wonder how it would hold up in a frontal crash with a concrete barrier! Well, wonder no more (the little tyke in the video below was doing 70mph before it was forced to stop in under one second!)

Andy Andrews on PBS

I'm horrible at reading books and am always looking for the study notes, you know, the summary of the entire book in a page or so. Don't get me wrong I love a well written piece of fiction like J.M. Coetzee's "Life and Times of Michael K" but throw a not so well written self help book like "The Celestine Prophecy" at me and it'll end up on the bed stand for weeks. So I watching a PBS program by this guy called "Seven Decisions that Determine Personal Success" by Andy Andrews. Seems like a nice bloke but ha! here is a little summary of the seven decisions:

One year and you're done for!

Those doubters among us knew this already right, the following article was grabbed from off the net by yours truly - enjoy R.

ROME (Reuters) - Your heartbeat accelerates, you have butterflies in the stomach, you feel euphoric and a bit silly. It's all part of falling passionately in love -- and scientists now tell us the feeling won't last more than a year.
